Normally I do not have a commenting policy on my blogs, however the nature of this blog demands that I create some sort of policy about commenting here.
As a general rule I am open to most anything except spam submissions. The ones that sneak by Akismet will be tagged as spam and deleted. However, because of the content of this blog, I am going to have a bit more of a policy than this.
1. As stated above, obvious spam comments will be tagged and deleted. I honestly don’t have time for you.
2. If you are commenting on a post to “explain to me” that I am wrong and why I am wrong, your comment will not see the light of day. Why? Because as I stated in “What Is A Question of Faith?” no one is “wrong.” Your viewpoint differs from mine regarding faith and that is fine. However, that does not make my viewpoint wrong.
3. If your comment is a blatant attempt to convert me to your faith, it will not see the light of day. I am not trying to find a new faith. I am trying to get questions off my mind. It’s not that I want to be a Christian. I spent the first 28 years of my life being a Christian. It wasn’t something for me. I never felt complete. Not even after repeatedly accepting Christ into my heart. I never felt complete. I DO feel complete now.
4. If your comment is thought provoking and not an attempt to proselytize your denomination, then it will be approved.
I am not going to be allowing others to start debates on this blog’s comments. If you wish to get into a discussion with someone else, you can use the link to their blog/site and leave a comment for them there – but please do not flame them. I am not going to be to blame for a flame war between you and another commenter here. If I find that debates are starting in my comments, I’ll simply disable all comments on all posts.
